EDUC 0321 - The Middle School and its Students

Participants in this course will explore the unique social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of middle grade learners with an without special needs.  Focus will be placed on utilizing an asset vs. deficit model, as well as the importance of understanding one’s own dispositional/cultural mindset.  In order to create developmentally responsive schools, classrooms, lessons, and interactions, research-based practices will b emphasized.
