NURS 0300 - Nursing Care of the Adult and Older Adult

Credits: 9

Focuses on the care of adult and older adult patients and their families in more acute care settings. Content includes using critical thinking to make appropriate clinical decisions for developing and implementing evidence based professional nursing interventions to achieve appropriate patient outcomes. The integrating of theoretical and clinical knowledge in the care of adults/older adults with acute and chronic illness, synthesizing laboratory data, and the setting of priorities will be incorporated.  4 hours of classroom and 10 hours of clinical and 5 hours of SimLab are required.
