An examination of the factors that shape public policy, primarily in the United States. Political Science theories are explored in order to understand the origin, development and implementation of policies. Special attention is given to the way policies are administered at the local, state and federal levels of government, and the role of interest groups, public opinion, and social movements on the public policy-making process.
