The Dermatology Course provides comprehensive and integrated instruction of the evaluation and treatment of the patient with dermatologic disorders. This approach provides instruction in scientific concepts pertaining to the dermatologic system; patient interviewing and physical exam skills; disorders of the dermatologic system; and the treatment required for patient centered appropriate care expected of a physician assistant. Students learn the critical thinking and decision-making process for diagnosing; evaluating and treating patients with dermatologic disease in faculty guided small simulation learning groups.
