The Pediatrics Course provides comprehensive and integrated instruction of the evaluation and treatment of the patient with pediatric disorders. This approach provides instruction in scientific concepts pertaining to the pediatric system; patient interviewing and physical exam skills; disorders of the pediatric system; and the treatment required for patient centered appropriate care expected of a physician assistant. Students will learn the critical thinking and decision-making process for diagnosing; evaluating and treating patients with pediatric disease in faculty guided small simulation learning groups.
