Designed to prepare skilled swimmers to teach the American Red Cross Swimming courses. The course is taught twice per week for one semester. A minimum of 30 hours are required by the Red Cross. At the completion of the course the student will be able to: demonstrate comfort in the water, demonstrate basic survival skill in the American Red Cross basic swimming strokes and Advanced Life Saving techniques, teach the mechanics involved in the basic strokes and life saving techniques.
