POLS 0335 - Feminist Political Thought

This course introduces students to the history and substance of contemporary feminist political thought and familiarizes students with some of the major debates in feminist theory. The course considers feminist political thought in a variety of theoretical frameworks that emerge from various academic and political traditions, and students will read works that show how these frameworks are applied to contemporary debates such as those over the body, sexual difference, identity, freedom, and motherhood. Students will also consider the future of feminist strategies for social change.
