A study of European literature in translation; focuses on writers of selected national or ethnic origin or on selected themes, topics, or genres. Class discussions, oral reports, writing assignments, and a research paper are required. Topic may vary by semester (e.g., The Holocaust, Women in the French Novel, Romanticism). May be taken more than once if topic differs.
