NURS 0302 - Advanced Health Assessment

This course assists RN-BSN students to refine their abilities in: health history taking, psychosocial assessment, physical assessment, and clinical reasoning in the assessment of diverse patients across the lifespan. Content builds upon basic and experiential knowledge of health assessment. Emphasis is placed on applying critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning skills as the student assesses and identifies problem symptoms and abnormal findings, as well as the linking of finds to underlying pathophysiology. 3 hours lecture, 2 hours lab.

Prerequisites: Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
