COMM 0395 - Sports Writing

This course concentrates on techniques of descriptive and interpretive newspaper and magazine sports writing, with an emphasis on collegiate sports. Techniques for interviewing coaches and players, developing angles, and meeting deadlines are emphasized. Students will cover sporting events, file reports for the class, and compile a portfolio.
