GEOL 0205 - Environmental Geology

The course focuses on geologic principles and applications realted to understanding and controllin environmental problems such as climate change, soil/air/water contamination, hazardous waste disposal, erosion, geologic hazards, mining, energy exploration, and resource development. The history of human development of resources, product use, and our impact on the natural and physical environment is explored through a geological understanding of the Earth.

Prerequisites: Sophomore standing.
