EDUC 0548 - Apprenticeship in Literacy Practices

This course provides the prospective teacher with the opportunity for application of assessment-informed literacy instruction across all domains (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) in an elementary education environment and in alignment with the MA ELA Framework. This course involves a field experience. Access to literacy instruction and culturally sustaining practices are emphasized to align with the department's commitment to Critical Engagement with Diversity and Social Justice. This graduate course is cross-listed with EDUC 0317 and is differentiated by assignments, learning outcomes and expectations at an advanced level.
