GNSC 0101 - Physical Science

Credits: 4

This course applies the concepts of physical science, physics, chemistry, and Earth and space science to explanations of natural phenomena while exploring the scientific method. Because science is not a static subject, students will explore the importance of evidence, observations, experimentation, logic, and argument as a means to exchange new ideas and update knowledge.  Students will see how exploration has led to the current body of scientific knowledge while gaining a mental toolkit for solving real world problems. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week.
