PSYC 0351 - Emotion

An exploration of theories and research in the study of emotion. Topics to be covered include historical and cultural influences on the understanding of emotion, current theoretical explanations of emotion, research on the elements of emotion, issues of emotional development, emotional regulation, emotional intelligence, and the role of emotion in cognition, personality, and disorder. This is a seminar-style course and fulfills capstone requirement for the Psychology major.

Prerequisites: PSYC 0101 , Senior standing, and at least six (6) credits of 0300-level Psychology courses earned. Or permission of instructor.
