ENGL 0117 - Asian American Literature and Culture

This course introduces representative Asian American writers and critical issues related to Asian America throughout history. It aims to help students establish a general understanding of, and an appreciation for, Asian American literary and cultural production through critical reading and textual analysis. Students will practice close reading, improve oral and written communication skills, and gain familiarity with foundational criticism in Asian American literary studies. Intended for all majors.
