ENGL 0337 - Visual Rhetoric for Publishing ProfessionalsCredits: 3 This course examines how images and text work together to communicate ideas clearly and powerfully in printed documents. Students will apply principles of rhetoric to the analysis of various genres of documents, considering how a document draws meaning from and speaks to its historical and cultural context. Through production of multi-model compositions, students will apply theories of perception, principles of usability, cultural sensitivity, and aesthetics to develop greater mastery over the elements of page design. |
