Theory, research, and clinical skills for current music therapy practice in mental healthcare for children, adolescents, and adults who have mood, behavioral, psychotic, personality, and addictive disorders. Topics include the continuum of care and strengths-based music therapy approaches. Emphasis is placed on the therapist's self in a socio-cultural context.  

Prerequisites: PSYC 0303  and MUSC 0391 .
Corequisite: MUSC 0395 .
