MBA 0604 - Accounting for Business DecisionsCredits: 1.5 Students will examine both financial and managerial accounting concepts, with a focus on using accounting information in business decision making. The financial accounting aspects of the course will emphasize interpreting and analyzing the financial statements. Students will use the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows to understand a firm's financial health, and to make meaningful comparisons across firms and across time. Students will analyze managerial accounting information for decision making purposes. Topics may include cost behavior and analysis, identifying relevant costs for decision making, and operational budgeting and profit planning. |
