PSYC 0678 - Law Enforcement and Mental Health CapstoneCredits: 3 This capstone experience intends to provide students in the Law Enforcement and Mental Health Co-Response Certificate Program an opportunity to conduct an applied research project with a community organization. With help from the instructor, the student will collaborate with an organization to identify a need for research and will collaborate with the organization to conduct that research. Topics can include, but are not limited to, program implementation, outcomes, and best practices. A final report must be written that includes a literature review, hypothesis, methodology, results, and discussion sections. This scholarly work must integrate knowledge acquired from coursework in the program, represent a new contribution to the field, and demonstrate graduate level competencies in research, written communication, and critical thinking. |
