MBA 0615 - Sustainability Reporting & Analysis

Credits: 1.5

Students will examine a firm's sustainability initiatives from both an internal decision making and external reporting perspective. Students will be introduced to basic sustainability related terminology, and explore how sustainable business practices can increase firm profits, through both increased revenues and reductions in costs. Students will then examine frameworks for disclosing sustainability information, including the SASB standards. Recent SEC initiatives in connection with sustainability related disclosure requirements and other emerging issues are also explored.
