NURS 0604 - Integrated Treatment for Child/Adolescent/FamilyCredits: 3 The Integrated Treatment for Child/Adolescent/Family course is designed to prepare advanced practice nurses to provide comprehensive and integrated mental health care for children, adolescents, and families. This course focuses on understanding the unique developmental, psychological, and family dynamics that impact mental health in these populations. Students will learn evidence-based approaches to assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for a range of psychiatric disorders affecting children and adolescents. The curriculum emphasizes a family-centered and collaborative care model, integrating psychotherapeutic modalities and psychopharmacological treatments. Topics include developmental considerations, trauma-informed care, and culturally sensitive approaches. Prerequisites: NP major core, NURS 0601, NURS 0602, NURS 0603, and NURS 0695. Corequisite: NURS 0696. |
