ATTR 0510 - General Medical Aspects of Physical Activity

This course focuses on the recognition, immediate treatment and referral of common non-orthopedic injuries and illnesses that may occur during or be exacerbated by physical activity. Skills associated with general medical assessment and care (otoscope, ophthalmoscope, wound closure, etc.) will be practiced. Position statements regarding participation in physical activity will also be discussed.

Prerequisites: Acceptance into Level II Status of Professional Phase of the Athletic Training Program or Junior Status.
