MOVP 0100 - Concepts of Physical Activity and Health

Through experience, observation, experimentation and review of evidence-based literature, students will examine the impact of exercise on the body's systems. Quality of life and longevity determinants, and behavior-change models will be examined in relation to an individuals' risk factors, nutrition, exercise, and fitness habits. Students will also learn basic skills and concepts to monitor progress using a variety of tools and technologies.

Prerequisites: FYJ 0101  or ENGL 0101 .
