In this skills course, students will learn basic resistance training methods, skill techniques, safety techniques and considerations, basic program design, and the benefits of strength training for overall wellness. Students will develop a personalized strength training program, practice resistance training methods, and develop personal skill techniques and fitness levels. Students will set personal wellness goals, design tools to monitor progress, give peer feedback and support, and reflect on process, progress, and social-emotional skill development.
