CHEM 0309 - Analytical Chemistry

Credits: 4

Consists of lectures, discussions, and laboratory work, covering the fundamentals of analysis. Study includes gravimetric analysis, volumetric analysis, and the statistical treatment of data. A main aspect of lecture will be the application of equilibrium to acid?base, precipitation, redox, and complex formation reactions. An important objective of the laboratory is the development of good laboratory technique. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory per week.

Prerequisites: CHEM 0111 .
