HIST 0352 - The American Revolutionary Era and the Early Republic, 1763-1815

This course explores the background and causes of the American Revolution, including its military, social, political, and diplomatic aspects. The government under the Articles of Confederation and the drafting of the United States Constitution will be examined, as well as problems faced by the new nation. Topics include the emergence of political parties, the evolution of the three branches of government, and Jeffersonian America.

Prerequisites: HIST 0131 .
