HIST 0295 - Internship - Global Women’s History Project

Credits: 1-3

The Global Women’s History Project brings women from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia together with women from the U.S. to interact with Westfield State students, faculty, staff and surrounding communities through presentations, workshops, multi-media events, and World Café. Students enrolled in this internship will learn about, and be involved in, all aspects of carrying out a conference, interacting closely with invited guests, and will participate in outings with other student interns at lectures, concerts, and grassroots organizations relevant to discussed topics. Students will learn about feminist praxis (theory and action), and will research women’s history organizations from the regions of the world addressed in the internship. Routine officework will be required in this internship. Students can earn between 1-3 credits. A maximum of three (3) internship credits may be applied to the 18-credit History major electives.

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor.
