LANG 0300 - Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages

Study of various approaches and methods of teaching foreign languages from both a historical and pedagogical perspective. Students learn to identify and use evaluative procedures to assess the effectiveness of instruction. Observation of secondary school classes, discussion, and writing of reports of fieldwork experience are required. This is a pre-practicum course required for certification as a language educator.

Prerequisites: Permission of instructor.
