CRJU 0101 - Introduction to Criminal Justice

Students will be introduced to the study of crime, criminal law, the institutions of the criminal justice system, and crucial problems and issues in criminal justice. The course will also serve as an introduction to social science methodology, empirical research, criminal justice data and sources, so that students will develop the skills necessary to be educated consumers of knowledge in criminal justice and other social sciences. This course serves both as the foundation for other courses in the major/minor as well a survey course for non-majors.
