MATH 0394 - Data Science Capstone

The goal of this capstone course in data science is to encourage students to work on real world machine learning problem and present their results. This course provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge of the foundations, theory, and methods of data science to address data driven problems. The course activities focus on a semester-length project, which introduce students to state-of-the-art methods and modern programming tools for data analysis. The final project will test the students’ skills in data visualization, probability, inference and modeling, data wrangling, data organization, regression, and machine learning.
Prerequisites: Permission of instructor.
