This course introduces a fundamental understanding of the patterns, experiences, and various movements leading toward socio-historical transformations within the Chinese community worldwide. Students will engage in expository analysis, rigorous scholarly research, and persuasive commentary to provide a contextual framework for in-depth case studies within their chosen fields. By the end of this course, students are expected to gain comprehensive knowledge about Chinatowns and critical approaches to studying different cultures and ethnic groups.
