MRKT 0316 - Digital Marketing: Problems and Progress Credits: 3
Digital marketing uses digital technologies and tools to promote various offerings to target markets. These digital tools may include websites, social media, email marketing, mobile strategies, and online advertising, to name a few. In this course, students will review case studies and examples to explore the impact digital marketing has on individuals, groups, and society. The primary dilemma is whether digital marketing exacerbates problems or inspires progress. Using an interdisciplinary seminar-style approach, we will consider the role of other fields, such as psychology, health sciences, business, politics, and technology, in shaping the debate. The course will cover the early days of digital marketing through current and emerging trends.
Prerequisites: FYJ 0101 or ENGL 0101
