PSYC 0303 - Psychopathology Credits: 3
This course provides an in-depth exploration of psychological disorders, focusing on the principles and practices of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Students will examine the diagnostic criteria outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, learn about evidence-based assessment, and explore contemporary therapeutic interventions. Emphasis is placed on understanding the biopsychosocial factors contributing to mental health conditions and developing a critical lens toward the ethical and cultural considerations in clinical practice.
Prerequisites: PSYC 0101 and PSYC 0201 .
