The Chemical and Physical Sciences Department offers a minor program in Earth Systems Science that is tailored for students majoring in General Science, Biology, Geography, Planning and Sustainability, or Environmental Science. The minor program provides a grounding in three important aspects of the Earth systems (atmosphere, hydrosphere, and solid Earth), an overview of the history of the systems, and a chance to extend that foundational work with two additional upper-level courses. Those upper-level courses may have pre-requisites other than the foundational courses required here. Students interested in completing the minor are advised to consult with a faculty member in the Department as they plan their program.
