Data Analytics Minor

Data analytics is the process of storing, organizing, and analyzing data to answer questions,  gain insights, and create evidence-based strategies, especially for businesses. The interdisciplinary Data Analytics minor is for students who are interested in deepening their understanding of data analytics, regardless of their major. It is designed to provide the foundations of programming/coding, to acquire the mathematical tools needed to conduct data work, and to develop an understanding of the relevance of data in today’s society.

A student wishing to pursue a data analytics minor is strongly encouraged to declare such intent early so that an appropriate advisor may be assigned to the student, and the remainder of the program may be planned and approved in conjunction with the academic advisor.
