HNRS 0401 - Commonwealth Honors Project Semester 1
Credits: 3
This course is the first in a two-semester sequence in which honors students work collaboratively with a primary advisor on a research or creative project. Students work closely with their primary advisor to complete a variety of tasks including topic selection, literature review, proposal development, networking with experts in the field, institutional review board approval if deemed necessary, and carrying out disciplinary-specific methods of inquiry related to their project topic.
A final course grade of B or above is required to continue on to the second semester of the Commonwealth Honors Project (HNRS 0402 ). Successful completion of two semesters of Commonwealth Honors Project is a requirement for graduation as a Commonwealth Honors Scholar.
Prerequisites: HNRS 0201 and good standing in the Honors Program.
