FINC 0207 - Financial Management Credits: 3
Introduces basic concepts of corporate financial management. The course encompasses practical, as well as theoretical, aspects of corporate finance, with an emphasis on the decision making functions of the financial manager and the process of valuation. The objective of the course is to give students specific skills to analyze and interpret financial data and to develop an understanding of the nature of investment and financing decisions in business organizations. Topics covered include; financial statement analysis, the time value of money, the valuation of financial securities such as stocks and bonds, and capital budgeting analysis and cost of capital.
Prerequisites: ACCT 0104; Sophomore, junior or senior status is required. (Formerly MGMT 0207)
