GPS 0102 - Physical Geography Credits: 4
Physical Geography is the scientific study of the natural processes shaping the Earth and their associated variability across time and space. Or, more simply: the science of the Earth. The course is organized around the four major ‘spheres’: the atmosphere (weather and climate), the lithosphere (landforms and processes), the hydrosphere (water resources), and the biosphere (flora, fauna, and soils). The lab portion offers exciting, hands-on, and real-world collaborative projects to help you understand why the Earth looks the way it does and the processes shaping the Earth in the past, today, and in the future.
