MATH 0334 - Operations Research and Modeling

Credits: 3

A study of mathematical modeling and of the models of interest in operations research, which may include distribution problems, linear programming, the simplex method and applications, network problems, transport and allocation models, simulation, Markov chains, and more. Students will learn how to model using appropriate software such as advanced Excel with Macros and/or R.

Prerequisites: 2 courses from MATH and CAIS, including at least one of the following: CAIS 0105/MATH 0113 or MATH 0108 or MATH 0340, or permission of instructor.
