ENVS 0102 - Applied Science of the Environment
Credits: 4
In this course, students will use scientific inquiry to learn about and understand the environment at personal, local, regional, national, and global levels. Students will learn about environmental concepts and investigate these firsthand through hands-on lab assignments and through review and evaluation of online literature, data, and other sources. The lab will require a long-term self-directed independent research component where students formulate questions, hypotheses, design experiments or studies, carry out the experiments to collect data, analyze data, and then report on their findings in formal reports or presentations. Other lab experiences will be both inside and out in the environment.
